Recent Writing Accomplishments – Pete Fraunholtz

We extend our congratulations to Pete Fraunholtz for his remarkable recent publications. His work has made a significant contribution to the field of Russian history. In “Peasants in the Russian Revolution: Adaption, Anxiety, Action” published in the Handbook of the Russian Revolution, Fraunholtz provides a nuanced and insightful analysis of the role of peasants in the Russian Revolution. His article “Ruling the Soviet Countryside Behind the Frontlines: Grain Procurement in Late Civil War-era Penza Province, Fall, 1920,” published in Russian History/Histoire Russe, sheds light on an often-overlooked aspect of Soviet history. Furthermore, in “Crisis and Pragmatism: The Evolution of the Soviet Procurement Apparatus in Civil War-era Penza, 1919-1920” published in Revolutionary Russia, Fraunholtz presents a thorough study of Soviet procurement during a critical period. Fraunholtz’s research is exemplary, and we are grateful for his contributions to our field.
